The tractor continued on its way towards J City. Yang Ke’er sat behind listening to her song, and the song played beside Zhang Xiao Qiang’s ears. Somehow, it filled him with a sense of frustration.

Other than the 2 notebooks that he found in the early morning, he had also found some dried seafood. The depressing thing was that other than some unreadable map data on the notebook, there was not a single game, nor some ‘artistic films’ for men.

The music of the notebook was already shut off, and both of them scanned their surroundings with alertness. The mood was tense and silent, and Zhang Xiao Qiang could even hear Yang Ke’er’s rough breathing.

Zhang Xiao Qiang looked incredulous, 4 strong burly men, 2 of them holding sharpened steel beams, one holding a Long Quan sword, and one holding something that looked like a long arch bow, although there were no arrows to be seen.

The 4 men were scurrying, looking like retreating soldiers fearful for their lives.

“Maybe they met a D2?” Zhang Xiao Qiang was alarmed, and he began to operate the tractor in a bid to escape. The previous time, he had relied on luck to finish off the D2, not capability. It was also too much of a high hope to rely on the lass.

Maybe it’s an S2? He forgot that if it was really an S2, they would not be able to even escape.

Before he had the chance to reply, another 2 S-Types came out from the grass, they looked more injured, one of them with multiple gunshot wounds in its legs, looking like a Chinese vampire as it moved.

The other looked like a beehive, its entire chest to its abdomen covered with bullet holes. Whatever the damage was, it seemed incapable of running fast.

The 2 injured zombies could smell the scent of the 2 humans here, though. Zhang Xiao Qiang stopped Yang Ke’er from acting, as he watched them approach.

One hopping, one shambling, moving towards the tractor.

“Pa pa” With 2 gunshots, both S-Types fell to the ground.

Zhang Xiao Qiang blew the smoke from the gun, his heart excited: “Within a 1m distance, I’m still a sharpshooter!”

Up to this current point, it was the first time he had used the handgun to kill zombies! He caressed it and sighed!

As he eyed the .81 on the ground, he considered picking it up. Or should he wait for the zombies to be confirmed dead first? Although there were no more bullets, he still longed to own a rifle. It was a dream since young.

As for the men who were running earlier, they weren’t within his consideration. They were not voluptuous women anyway, who cares if they were dead or not.

“Uncle! They’re coming towards here! They must have heard the gunshots earlier!”

Yang Ke’er reminded Zhang Xiao Qiang, as she readied her spear!

“Wait for them to get closer first! Don’t use the Beast Horn Spear! We cannot afford to reveal our possessions!”

Zhang Xiao Qiang did not wish to save anybody, but it didn’t mean he wouldn’t kill the zombies. Furthermore, asking some locals for the way would not hurt.

The remaining 4 people ran like hell towards the tractor, as Zhang Xiao Qiang eyed them. He made no sound to urge or motivate them.

“Hu-Ha-Hu-Ha!”

From afar, one could hear their ragged breath. Their faces were red from the exertion, and their faces contorted with their burst of strength. They looked like the lords of hell painted in front of temple gates!

The one who was wielding the Long Quan blade had reached his limit, he was struggling to breathe, his eyes wide open. He was somewhat frothing at his mouth. As he heard the steps nearing behind, he could not help but turn to take a look.

Only to see a small S-Type chasing behind him, slashing out with a claw. He could almost smell the claw on his face!

“Ah!!!”

He screamed out loudly, and shook his shoulders, trying to increase his speed more.

Seemed like he forgot he had a blade in his hands, the Long Quan blade in his right hand danced as his right hand swung up and down, reflecting the sunlight!

“Shua” A gust of wind blew past his ear and struck something behind him, followed by a “putong” sound, it seemed like something had fallen?

He couldn’t afford to care as just kept his head forward, running towards Zhang Xiao Qiang before he slowed down to catch his breath. At least there was some form of hope. He thought as he ran, not forgetting there were still 2 behind him!

One of the S-Type who had been feasting a distance away was shot in the head by an arrow fired from Yang Ke’er’s sniper crossbow, leaving one S-Type still chasing the man.

Zhang Xiao Qiang pulled out the military knife and threw it towards the S-Type.

“Pu!” The spinning blade lodged itself in the zombie’s head, and it slumped to the ground after stumbling a few steps!

The men had run to the tractor and wanted to get on, but they were forced to halt when they saw Yang Ke’er aiming at them. They turned behind to look.

Stunned! Their faces went slack with shock. One of the zombies was on the ground with an arrow in its head, the other laid on the ground as Zhang Xiao Qiang pulled out the military blade from its head.

The men didn’t move, nor make a sound. They just stood there dumbly, watching Zhang Xiao Qiang walk up to the S-Type feasting on the dead man.

The S-Type stopped eating and stood up, facing Zhang Xiao Qiang. It was obviously angry at being interrupted in the middle of its meal!

It snarled then pounced towards Zhang Xiao Qiang, who was not in the least flustered.

As though time had slowed down, he took a small step to the right, allowing the S-Type to lunge past him, and as it was in the air, he swiftly brought the knife and slashed its head from behind, lodging the blade in its brain.

Zhang Xiao Qiang then pulled out the knife, leaving the S-Type to bleed profusely, before it slumped to the ground.

Even as he walked back, the men still had not shaken out of their stupor!

“Gulu” The man with the Long Quan blade swallowed his saliva in shock.

“Gulugulu” The remaining 3 men finally reacted, each of them gulping their saliva!

“Your brother I, am such a guy!!!” Zhang Xiao Qiang had an extremely smug look.
